Hand Tufting

Hand tufting is a unique process allowing the designer to express creativity to the fullest through the use of unlimited color, multiple textures and fibers bringing designs to life whether traditional, transitional or contemporary.

Our skilled artisans translate the design from paper to a fine cotton backing. Specialized hand guns place each individual color into the backing. When the pattern is complete, a final backing is applied for dimensional stability. Finishing touches include optional carving and shearing.

We use high quality New Zealand Wool to produce the carpets and rugs in any shape, texture and design. Silk, Viscose and Lurex can add sparking accents. Our skilled designers will assist on making the experience of using Silk Road Carpet & Rugs your preferred source.
